CONTENT OF THE COURSE
Do you already have some sewing experience and want to take your skills to the next level?
In this course you will dive deeper into more advanced sewing techniques and learn how to apply them with confidence. By working on various exercises and samples, you will practice precision and discover professional methods to give your garments a high-quality finish. From advanced seam constructions and sleeve variations to tailored waistbands, plackets, and collars – this course helps you refine your craftsmanship.
This course is designed for students who already master the basics of sewing and want to expand their knowledge with more complex techniques.
First class
Making a bias binding, how to sew a bias binding on a neckline, and V-neckline finishing with a bias band.
Second class
How to sew a shirt yoke, how to stitch a fly pants opening.
Third class
Stitching a blind buttonhole placket, 3 variations of making a strap.
Fourth class
How to stitch different pockets, trouser pockets, side seam pockets, and patch pockets in 2 different variations.
Fifth class
How to sew a shawl collar, how to sew piping into a seam.
Sixth class
How to sew the different pleats: tuck pleat, pin tucks, knife pleat, and box pleat.
Classes are provided in English and Dutch.
