Design & pattern drafting
In the pattern drafting course you will learn how to draft the basic pattern for a piece of clothing in your own size and how to adjust it to your desired design. Four basic patterns are offered, you can choose which piece of clothing you want to make. A course consists of 4 to 6 weekly classes.
All courses start by taking measurements of your body and drawing a pattern for a basic block. After sewing this pattern into a sample, adjustments are made for a perfect fit. Then together we will modify the basic pattern to your desired design. The course concludes with sewing your design.
You can also choose basic block for all garments, this is then the starting point for making a small capsule collection in the desired model. The maximum number of participants is four (at Atelier Aida one-to-one attention is very important to us).
