Atelier Aida is the initiative of Aida Kasaei, a fashion and spatial designer who came to the Netherlands from Iran in 2010. Kasaei lives in Schiedam and graduated in 2019 from the AMFI fashion academy in Amsterdam. She is not so much interested in the phenomenon of fashion, but sees clothing as a means of expression and a way to communicate without language.

Atelier Aida is a maker space for passionate people who want to realize their own clothing designs. Kasaei is committed to revaluing craftsmanship in a modern way. In this era of fast fashion, Atelier Aida focuses precisely on the attention and respect for the making process of a garment: designing, drawing a basic custom pattern and developing it into a unique version. The goal is not consumerism but personal production. Fast and easy consumption is not the criterion at all, the focus is on professional quality and slow fashion.

We offer courses on sewing techniques, pattern drawing and how to sew a garment from our collection. Classes are suitable for beginners, advanced and everyone in between. Lessons are given for all levels. Our goal is to create a community of people who are designers of their own wardrobe.
