CONTENT OF THE COURSE

Discover the beauty of eco-printing and create your own botanical wall tapestry — a unique symmetrical textile piece for your home, infused with the rich pigments and delicate prints of nature.

About Annastasia ~ Atelier Nachtvlinder
Annastasia is a textile artist, naturalist and the heart behind Atelier Nachtvlinder.

Her mission is to lovingly help us remember, restore, and deepen our relationship with nature, with ourselves, and with our inherent interconnectedness.

Through slow handmade garments crafted from natural fibres, plant-dyed textiles, mindful making, and immersive nature workshops, she invites us to return to a way of being where we create and act from a place of unity.

Atelier Nachtvlinder stands for connection, reverence, and responsibility.

For remembering what it means to be human: part of the living world, not above it.

“Exploring what it means to be human by tuning into the intelligence of (our) nature.”

Workshop Details
In this 4–5 hour workshop at Atelier Aida, Annastasia from Atelier Nachtvlinder will teach you the art of eco-printing on linen, guiding you in creating a one-of-a-kind wall tapestry to take home.

During this immersive session, We will explore the richness of nature’s true pigments and experiment with natural modifiers such as alum, iron, and vinegar to discover how different plants interact with natural fibres and how you can deepen or shift their colours.

Each participant will create one large linen wall textile (70 x 150 cm), finished with a wooden hanging rod with pre-drilled screws. At home, you will only need two hooks to hang your finished piece.

This single-panel textile can be used as:
– Wall art
– A room divider
– A curtain
– A doorway hanging

(Participants can choose from a small selection of natural base tones to give their tapestry a specific and one of a kind colour).

What to Expect:

– Introduction to eco-printing techniques
– Learn how to prepare linen using natural mordants such as alum and iron
